The night after theBattle of Fredericksburg. Civil War. The buildings were traced from an actual civil war photo of Fredericksburg, Virginia. Everything else is free-hand. (I fixed the lighting and leveled out the cannon a little.)

I like this. It has a calm, yet very sad feeling to it. Especially given the title. I like your moon too; very detailed. The background's good too. Overall. this is fantastic! ; )

The Civil War must have been such a dreadful time. Imagine fighting within your own country.:( This is a wonderful piece. The guns may be stilled but there is much going on that we cannot see and the red is so telling of the misery that many were left with.
