Because the modern idea of love is a lie. It's based on lust and insecurity, things which simply aren't meant to last. If people married their friends, people whom they get along with and TRUST, divorce would be a lot less common. Same for if we changed our ideas about infidelity and accepted that different people have different needs. Love is a lie, and any marriage founded on that lie will fail eventually. It has nothing to do with YOU. Deal with it.
