Rock, how I love rock, climbing, scrambling, walking, painting, music, Blackpool , er well maybe not the Blackpool lol, this is another fav, really like the sky in this too, :)*+
As always, I value your feedback. Thanks. @Gaz: Twin minds here, when it comes to rock. Although in a musical sense, I don't really get a lot from the genre as a whole. Music is such a very, very deep part of my life, but rock.... I'll shiver my spine over Zeppelin any day of the week, and a little Sabbath, when they were on form... oh, oh, and Skynyrd's Free Bird, but it's not my usual preference. Heard any recent (last 10 years) prog/post-rock? 'Battles' tend to do the 'rock' thing for me these days. Wonderful band. Listen to the tune, 'Atlas'. Builds from a glam-rock drum beat into something very fine and alternate. ;)
Hi munin, I've checked out battle on u tube( the live jools holland one),they are definitely alternative. this type of music has to be heared a few times and learned, there's a lot of sound going on, I like the use of what I think is a digi tech whammy pedal on the vocals. I also listened to ice cream cos the thumbnail had a woman lickin a rollerscate wheel lol, I shall listen to them a few more times. I am a guitarist myself so music is a very big part of my life too, sabbath was the first concert i went to, birmingham odeon, and ive seen zepp at knebworth .I like rock music and anything guitar based but my true love is the blues, especially rock blues, I am a huge fan of joe bonamassa, in my opinion this kid is the most talented blues player on the planet, he has everything , he emulates all the licks of the greats, he Leaves a lump in my throat when some of his lead breaks sound like his guitar is crying, check out u tube, joe bonamassa Albert hall so many roads (7:15 min) one, check out some of his other trax too, dust bowl, black lung heartache, reconsider baby, quarryman, I could list hundreds lol, oh I will say I heared a new band called the temperance movement, I think they are from Scotland , no album but they have an EP, singer has a powerfull voice, u tube the temperance movement only friend, I'll be interested to here what u think on joe bonamassa, trust me he's the dogs, :)
Hey, Gaz. You are the new hate figure in my life, haha. Seriously though, you saw Zeppelin back in the day with Bonham? May a thousand and seven dead pigs fall from the sky and create havoc in your life! I am too young, but my mom saw them. I know they toured again some years back, but it wasn't for me. I checked out Joe Bonamassa on YT. I get a feel of where you are coming from. He can sure make an instrument sing. Some of the stuff I listened to put me in the mood for Twin Peaks TV show, and Angelo Badalamenti, but that's most probably because I have little exposure to blues or blues rock. I grew up listening to my dads old Muddy Waters records, but that's about it.
Hi munin, lol, yeah in those days I had hair down my back, wore patch jeans and an afghan coat smelling of patchouli , lol, not geared much stuff from Angelo badalamenti, but I like the drive soundtrack :) glad you thought bonamassa can play. He does some zepp covers too,
I've finally started painting tryfan on colors, for a mountain I know so well I'm finding it a real struggle , lol
Regarding Tryfan: Glad to hear you're giving the mountain your attention. And yeah, sometimes it's harder to paint something you know intimately, because you're far more attentive to things that might be slightly off. I've been back to Ogwen for another session. I painted Tryfan's squatter, fatter brother, and some sexy terrain on the way to Llyn Cowlyd.

@hgoel: Haha... I will admit that sometimes I put hidden 'things' in my paintings, but I assure you there is nothing else going on here. :)
