First time link defeats ganondorf is ocarina of time and link to the past. Second time is Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and First Zelda. Only time he is defeated for a third time is Four Swords Adventures. It's really not that repetetive :/

Actually, in the end of skyward sword demise puts a curse on link's family so that every time link is reincarnated demise's reincarnation would try to defeat link's reincarnations over and over. Wich means Ganon was demise's reincarnation in Oot. And cursing him was pretty stupid because he's really cursing his own family because every time his reincarnation tried to defeat Link's he would end up being defeated by Link.
