Only 4 comments a day? I didn't release... I guess I haven't run into that problem since most of my paintings took me about a day. :P I also wish you could add people to your favorites, but maybe that will be a future addition. What I'd really like personally is a proper search feature on the 3DS. I'm new to painting as well, but it feels mostly natural to me when choosing colors. Like you said, a hobbyist feeling...

I think colors may even aid me as an artist. :) The 3D layering feature allows you to experiment with depth, precision even. If something doesn't look right in 3D then it definitely won't look right in 2D! I don't know how many more "swamp skinks" I'll cook up in the mean time, but I do have a TON of ideas to attribute to the 3D! Even some eventual GLS related drawings, mind you. ;)

A feature I do think is neat is the ability to import your art to your SD card at an even higher resolution than the 3DS itself. Flipnote was more limited in the sense that the drawings' resolution was native to the DSi screen, so when enlarged they were pixelated (though I still draw on my DSi). Overall I think I'm more of a digital artist... You?

Well there is word on an update coming... This is from the creator of colors himself, Jens Anderson: "We would love to add more ways to browse the gallery, like having followers as well as adding a robust challenge system that people can participate in directly from the device." so there's plenty of good things to look forward to. Some of your previous wishes may come to fruition in a near future. ;) As for your drawing skills, don't worry too much. :P Be satisfied with your current skill level, once you're happy with your current skill-set, improving upon them is inevitable. I used to worry about my art a lot, but now I just do as I can and sometimes I get results higher than I ever anticipated. Even I underestimate what I can do on occasion. I do miss some of the features you mentioned in your post, we could always inquire about them since the creators are very community oriented.
