Cocatrice by Infestation

My favorite fantasy story as a child was one about a blind mouse and a lonley cocatrice meeting up for tea. The monster would sip from a tiny, mouse-sized cup and speak in a very quite voice so the mouse wouldn't realize his friend is a huge beast and run away. At the end, the mouse leaves and amusedly wonders to himself when his friend will give up the act - he's known since the start what his friend is, but says nothing so the cocatrice won't be ashamed. That story inspired this!

I might have to read that sometime. I haven't read a good short story in a while. And the detail... Can you lend me your skills for the next hundred years? I promise I'll give them back. ;_;

Creepy true story, I once jokingly "lent" my skills to someone. Suddenly I couldn't draw anything right: It lasted for MONTHS. Now I don't even joke about it lest I jinx myself again! I don't even remember the name of that story... I read it in a book of short stories about mythical creatures (which I also forget the title of...) I took out from a library over ten years ago... I think it was a book of stories about dragons (and other mythological creatures) or something.

Don't know if you ever got my response, but thanks for your comment. You sir, have some wonderfully detailed art. I'm not much for this type of style, but I gotta say its looks really boss bro. :D And yea... we need more Furs here. XD Its kinda sad, alot of the artwork here is referenced or flat out copied. We are some of the few original artist it seems. XD Anyways, thank you. owo

Thank you, Fox! And it really is discouraging how few people here are trying to develop their own skills, or even draw their own ART! I admit, not many folks here are fond of this style (not colourful enough, I guess?), but it's enjoyable to me so who cares. Viva la originality!
