Fay stood up, his parents bodies laying peacefully on the floor next to him. But Fay was anything but peaceful. He stomped out of his house, not even bothering to open the door, he simply used his dark aura to rip it off its hinges. Fay stood on the front step and roared a dragon roar. He inhaled, locking on to his target's scent. They were at the chemical plant, no suprise. The chemical plant was where every delinquient went. It was ten miles from his house. It would be the perfect time to test his wings. They snapped open and Fay took flight. He was suprised on how well he worked with them. After some thinking, he came to a conclusion: he was made to be like this.
The chemical plant would've taken hours if you were walking, but Fay's new abilities allowed him to reach it in minutes. He landed outside, dropping like a rock, cracking the ground. He stood up and surveyed his surroundings. Cars were parked in a hodgepodge. Fay grinned, they would be the first to go. Fay flicked his wrist abd sent the first car flying, then another and another. Soon, all that was left was pieces. Fay grinned as he walked through the doors. The music blared inside the plant. The base pounding from the speakers, probably stolen. No one had noticed him, he was part of the crowd. "AIIIIEEEEEEE!" Someone shrieked in fear. Fay's head snapped toward the sound. There, tied to a post, being kissed by a jock, was Rose.
"Let. Her. GO!" Fay yelled, flinging the jock aside. "HOW DARE YOU!" Fay flew to Rose's side and used his claws to cut her free. "F-fay?" Rose stammered. "It's ok, it's going to be ok." "They kidnapped me, theyntried to, to-" Rose buried her head in his shoulder. "You're different." Fay smiled. "Yeah, and these freaks'll pay for it." Fay walked foward and flung his hands outward, sending everyone except him and Rose flying. He walked up to the jock that had attacked Rose. Fay raised his hand and the dark aura picked up the jock by his neck, choking him. Fay watched as the life started to drain from his eyes. "Who's the freak now." Fay whispered, right before something pushed him aside. Fay looked to his attacker, Rose. "Fay no! You can't do this! It's wrong! You're better than this!" "No! We can make them pay. I have the power Rose. I have it all! Remember what we learned in history? I have that power! I am a king! But, what's a king without a queen. Rose, we could rule together. Strike down anyone in our way. Whaddya say? Will you rule with me?"
"No." Rose replied defiantly. "You're not Fay, you're a monster. The Fay I knew wouldn't do this." Rose said, tears beginning to fall from her face. "Why leave me for them?!" Fay yelled, then laughed darkly. "No matter, when I'm done, there'll be nothing left, so you'll have to come with me." Fay snapped open his wings and a shockwave of darkness rippled throughout the plant. He picked up the nearest person and threw them, then he grabbed another and repeated the process. "No, stop, please!" Rose sobbed. But Fay took no notice of her. He walked up to the jock that hit him with the ice-ball. Fay lifted him and a large piece of rubble off the ground. Fay leaned foward so he was inches from his face. "You hit me, I'm just going to return the favor." "NO!" Someone shoved Fay, it was Rose, again. Fay was now standing by a railing that was over a vat of green liquid. "Stop Fay, you're not this monster." Rose pleaded. "Never!" Fay yelled. "Not until they've all suffered!" "Then Fay, you need to hear this before you go. I'm sorry." Fay was confused. Where was he going? But, before he had time to get the answer, a sharp piece of ceramic was jabbed into his abdomen. Fay doubled over, but the force of his attacker threw him over the rail. His last sight before hitting the liquid was Rose. Tears running down her face and blo.od on her hands. Fay hit the liquid with a splash, but his life didn't end. Fay's dark aura reacted with the liquid, causing the aura to crystalize around him. Fay was suddenly tired. He closed his eyes and dreampt of his revenge and the dark crystal sealed his fate. (Woohoo! I finished most of the prologue... what do you think? There will be 1 or 2 more story comments on this painting, I hope you like this!)
Many years later... to the day... First a hand, then a foot, then a tail. A dark crystal sha.t.ters. Finally the dark being is free. Fay stepped down from the remains of the crystal and then watched as it melted into his aura. Fay looked around, he was in a cave. He ran his fingers over the scar on his abdomen, expecting it to be an open wound. "Five hundred years." A voice whispered in his head. "Am I glorified? Do these people fear me?" Fay asked, happy he wasn't alone. "No." The voice whispered. "You are all but forgotten, but not for long. There is a hedgehog family, the last of that cursed Rose's decent. You must ki.ll them! They pose a threat to your reign." Fay nodded. "I understand this... but who are you?" "I am fear, darkness, doubt. I am anything and everything. I am the power that resides in you." Fay nodded again. "So how do I ki.ll this family?" "You must tap into the dragon part of your soul. To do so, imagine you are a dragon. This will also work for any other animal." Fay grinned. He imagined himself as the great beast, and soon he was. A black dragon, thirty feet tall by the shoulder. Pronged horns, barbed tail, red eyes. Fay let out a roar. "Alright, you want to stop me? I dare you to try!" Fay took off, laughing evily the whole way as the voice whispered directions. Inside the house... Marcell and Jack knew that Fay was coming. Jack ran to the doors and windows and boarded them, even though he knew it was useless. Meanwhile Marcell was talking to her six year old daughter. "Remember how we play hide and seek?" The little green hedgehog girl nodded. "Well, let's play again. I'm going to count to sixty, and whatever you do, don't let me find you. Don't come out, don't make a sound." The little hedgehog nodded again. "And always remember this Sam, your daddy and I, we love you." Marcell wrapped her daughter in a hug. "Ok, one, two, three..." The hedgehog girl ran off and Marcell stood by her husband in the living room, both of them hand in hand.
"Fifty-eight, fifty-nine, sixty!" BANG, CRASH, CRACK! The small house explodes as it is hit by the full force of the dragon. "Ready or not here I come!" Fay laughed. "You can ki.ll us, but you will never find her." Jack said defiently to the dragon. "Let's agree to disagree. Now, I think it's nap time, forever!" Fay snapped his tail, leaving barbs in the two hedgehogs' chests. Marcell and Jack drop to the floor, dead instantly. "Alright, where are you you little anklebiter!?" Meanwhile... Sam was so proud of herself. She'd never had time to hide under her bed before! Now she did! Fay was tearing the house apart room by room. "Where is she?!" Finally Fay found the little hedgehog's room. He walked in and began to trash the place too. She wasn't behind the closet. Not in the dresser. Not behind her tub of toys. The only place left was the bed. Fay walked over and grabbed the bed in one hand. "Come out, come out, wherever you are." Then Fay lifted the bed up...
Out from under the bed scurried a mouse. Fay chuckled darkly. "Vermin lives with vermin." He watched as the mouse scurried into the forest. Fay turned back to the task at hand and realized something, the girl was gone. "NOOOOOO!" He screeched, then flamed the remains of the house. "Silence! We will find the girl, but for now we must prepare for our vengence!" The voice yelled. Fay nodded. "Nothing will stand in our way." Fay opened his wings and flew back to his cave. Meanwhile, a silvery green mouse watches from the forest. Suddenly, it twitches and changes, turning into a green hedgehog, about six years old. She runs to the ruins of her house, towards her dead parents. "Mom, dad?" She starts sobbing. "What did he do to you?" When the girl gets no answer she fully understands the severity of the situation. As the sun rises, the girl leaves. Her parents' eyes are closed and they are covered in flowers. They look like they're sleeping. The girl holds a knife in her hand as she walks into the forest by her home. The waiting branches of the trees accept her as she prepares to take her revenge. Narrator/me: This is the end of one story and the beginning of many others. But the true beginning is twelve years later, to the very day. This is the story of the outsiders. (WOOHOO! The prologue's finished! I wanted to incorporate some of my o.c.'s (Sam) backstory and I think it worked out well! What do you guys think?)
