okay man lets have a look. first, what is good? the face has substance, expression, and u have the artistic vision to create a colour scheme and background that goes natural with it, that suits, looks 'whole'..so the only level where i would possibly dare to advice is on the purely technical level. This could be a long talk, from bricks to hair, but lets stick w some basics. however first imust warn u that impriving ur technical skill wil change and not neccesarily enhance ur artistic expression. anyway..two things must b focus, the drawing and the colours. since u aim for rwalism, the contrast between the sketch style and the solid purple-blue is too much. the eye apples are dead areas of paint, where they should be alive with reflections. eyeballs are wet and shiny, you know. that was colour. now drawing..well, mouth slightly too wide, should go to mid-eye exactly on both sides for realism. but id rather go more basic and tell u to always build a full head, not just the face, even when hair, helnet or other will later obstruct much of the view, or as here where u chose to only show the face for artistic purposes. starting by building the face on the circle/ball that is the head will help u get perfect placement and 'roundness' to the face itself. u see what im saying? lesson 1 complete, pls turn the tape. Lol
post-lecture bonus: the single most important thing to learn when learning to draw is building ur objects and characters from boxes/squares and b.alls/circles. google 'draw with circles and squares' or something and learn, its very very simple, but it is FUNDAMENTAL for learning how to draw good, plus learning it will speed up ur improvement rate beyond measure! beyond measure! i think u got it now lol ITS NUMERO UNO!!!!
