herobrine started off as an implemented feature,but somehow gained self awareness.when notch shut him down to prevent minecraft from being taken over,he rose up again because he could still respawn.now,he roams minecraft in search of notch with his army of skeletons and spiders so as to get revenge on him for shutting him down,destroying all who get in his way.and he constantly leaves his calling card-a deathly upercase E-wherever he goes.
