B: A equal 1, Z equals 26. This means that each letter of the alphabet is represented by a number. You use this key to decode clues C. and F.
C. Using the key found in clue B, (A equals 1 etc.) you can decode the message as 'The Brothers are Innocent'. This eliminates Mario and Luigi as suspects.

D. Using clue A, you can decode these symbols. The hidden message reads, 'The Theif is in This Room'. Meaning that the culprit is shown in picture.
E. The lighter squares hide a secret message that reads 'Not a Badguy'. This eliminates Koopa Troopa, and Boo (famous Mario baddies) as suspects.

F. You can decode this using clue B (A equals 1 etc.). The secret message reads 'Party at 2PM'.
G. The same as clue E, ignore the dark squares, and read the lighter ones. the hidden message reads 'Not Toads'. This eliminates both Toad and Toadette as suspects.

H. This clue is one of the most important. It reads 'Star Stolen at 1PM' (more about this later).
I. This is not really a clue, it just shows the current time... 1 hour after the party has started.
J. Once again using clue B. to decode, you can find the message 'DK equals BAD'. This, along with clue E eliminate DK as a suspect, because if he's BAD it couldn't be him!

SO... Using all of these clues you can eliminate all suspects except one... PEACH! But why would she steal her own present? She didn't. She just opened her present EARLY! Clue H says 'Star Stolen at 1PM', which is before the party even started! (Clue F. 'Party at 2PM). Peach feels very guilty about it, so she hid clues all over the house. Bowser is peeking in the window to through you off the right path. He is eliminated by Clue D, 'The Theif is in The Room' (he's outside).

XD Interestingly enough, Peach was actually my FIRST guess (no lie), because I have learned through many of these similar puzzles that the least obvious person is usually the culprit. Or as Spock would say, "after eliminating the possible, look to the impossible'' XD

Anyway, I couldn't find any clues to back up my theory. Because you said we had to do that. After an hour searching for clues, I couldn't find anymore evidence, so I went with DK. Even thougn it STILL seemed to me a little to obvious! XP
