Ok. So, the guide is what helps with the direction the lines flow in. What I did was draw a bunch of lines flowing in that direction, then blended it in with a translucent color. So, just draw a bunch of dark lines, then make some lighter lines. Then:
Highlight: light shines here/lighter colors. Above the dark spots, add light colors, and blend in the colors slightly. Then, make it even darker in the middle of the dark spot [dark (darker) ]. It's easier seen than done xD

I learned how to make wrinkles on Colors last month, I think. I thought I did terrible until I tried it on here xD
