First, prove that your god, among the thousands of other gods worshipped throughout history, actually exists. Then, demonstrate how this 'god' is infinitely loving, forgiving, and just despite the fact that his actions throughout the bible are reprehensible, capricious, and fall short of anything we regard as morally sound today in the twenty-first century.

zaza, the picture is just to get your atention but the word are to get you thought. besides we have a freedom of speech in Amarican(until Obama takes it away). speeching of freedom of speech, a guy was thrown in jail because of a U-tube video he posted on the internet. gess he's already taking away our rights :(

Yoshicrazy, why should I ask a professional? Jach clearly shows himself to know exactly what happens to us when we die, making the opinions of other 'professionals' unnecessary. And I infer that by 'professional' you mean the charlatans, the pseudoscientists, the apologists, etc. who've informed Jach's faulty, unprovable, contemptable worldview. Experts of your liking are so full of $h!t that if you were to give them an enema, you could bury them all in a matchbox. Read books on logic and fallacies; value scientific, historical, and philosophical literacy; and keep a skeptical mind, especially toward anything selling itself as revealed scripture. In short, become an expert of your own, a real one - one who knows that cheap appeals to fear do nothing to prove that something like a vengeful god exists.

And, yoshicrazy, I agree in principle that this is an art gallery and should be used as such. But kindly direct your anger to Jach, whose initial comment set the precedent. By fear mongering, he clearly wanted some comments in reply. I'm obliging him.

I'm sorry I blew up like that. I realize he's looking for replies. It's just that, considering all the questions you asked, only a scholor could fully answer them for you, not just the average person on an art gallery.

Yoshicrazy, for what it's worth, I work in historical scholarship (I'm an editor and indexer who works with scholarly manuscripts), and I can tell you that it doesn't take a scholar to investigate these questions. Armed with the basic skills of critical thinking that are available to us all through libraries and through the internet, we can investigate these questions ourselves. Scholars are a fantastic source, but there are authors out there who show how it's in everyone's interest to fortify his/her critical faculties to challenge the claims, the dogmas, and the practices of religion. Look into Carl Sagan, Christopher Hitchens, Michael Shermer; watch the brilliant youtube videos posted by QualiaSoup and ThereminTrees; visit the Nizkor Project online for an non-exhaustive list of logical fallacies.
