Sunset at the Lake by Zeitwolf
I was on the Guelper See for a few days, sleeping over in an old mill... Sunsets at lakes are beautiful... I even like the colours this time, although they are bit too saturated in the clouds... thanks for viewing! :)

beautiful. i think if i would try it the sky would turn dark before i get finished with the picture because i'm so slooow :D

It´s a great picture! Whow! Out of curiosity: is the sun for real or did you add it for artistic reasons? I do not understand how the sun manages to get through this massive clouds without illuminating the nearby structures.

Thanks, everybody! I'm so glad you like it!! --- wohoo: actually I added a bit detail to the trees and grass later... ;) --- Splotch: The sun was for real. I have also photographed the event, but the results show either the landscape with a complete white sun; or the black silhouette of the landscape with a reddish sun... it's really hard to capture on film or cmos. So I drew it, as my eyes saw it. I suspect the sun to be behind clouds (so only the red wavelength gets through, it was alrady flattened, too like a ball with too less air pressure). Thus the trees and grass only gets lighted by indirect light like on a dull day... I'm browsing through my photos, but only find those as described above... maybe I'll be loading one up...

@Zeitwolf: Ah, I see. Thanks for the description. HDR´s seems to be a good solution for such photographic-problems though I never tried solve them with RAW format photos. I´ll give it a try myself! Again: great picture and I hope to see more like this soon! ;-)
