Hey you. Im sorry but I cannot blankly agree with your comment. You are in essense saying that peoples' desire to have their hard work seen is somehow wrong. That is obviously absurde. That the system, until the update, force such measures such as advertising your gallery, can only lead us to the old truth: Don't hate the player, hate the game.
I would add, however, that there is one great thing to the whole star-begging thing, it really gets you around town..star-begging, my own and others', have brought me into contact with the most obscure aswell as the most popular galleries, and have led to many a 'conversation' with all kinds of people. And now I get to meet you, and see your art! So there is a blessing in disguise hidden under the warty skin. I also wish to say, that I have certainly been a part of raising the standard for how it is done. I advertise with good freehand drawings for good freehand drawings, no lazy quarter-characters here, and in my comments, I always give a like, comment in earnest, and try to be relevant in my advertisement. You know, a wolf fan might be glad to get to see my wolves, or a dragon fan, or a pony fan, or..I know I would! And I do have a gallery that is a helluva lot more diverse than most, even than most of the good artists' galleries; I dont have to be too humble to say I have something worth seeing for every taste, so why not let people enjoy it?

Oh and one more thing my friend, if we freehand artists do not shout from the mountain top, we will NEVER rid the top ranked list of all the mediocre traced junk, joke posts and circles filled w cheap effects that dominate it. "A blessing hidden in a warty skin?", huh? I'm sorry, but I think you are overrating my comment a bit too much. XD I dont know, advertising it in that way just seemed pretty pointless to me... I mean, it's a few weeks old and with its current star count it's surely not gonna get into top ranked anytimme soon... (300-400 Likes are pretty much minimum). I mean, I get why people repost or upload advertisings like this if they originally uploaded thier paintings at a time when thier upload got pushed out of New Paintings really fast but this just seemed pointless to me. Additionally, you were putting very little effort in these reuploads and were merely asking for a handful of likes and, may I ask you, isn't publishing art you liked to create much more important than striving for stars and popularity? That being said, I'm not being a hater or a troll or anything, I just try to make honest comments when I check other people's artwork. That's just how I roll. I leave positive comments on thing I liked and negative comments on things I din't like and neutral, often joking comments on most others.And just because I don't like one of your artworks it doesn't mean that I dislike you, it's certain things I dislike or like to make fun of but rarely people. Many of my negative comments are consructive criticism, I always try to have a point why I dislike a certain artwork. I try to draw your attention to the things I didn't like in a way that hopefully makes you realize why I didn't like it and maybe makes you change your mind, even if I have to be a bit harsh to do so but I'm not trying to be mean or to troll you out of C3D!. I like your art so why don't you just advertise it with more original art that makes people want to check you gallery :) BTW, you have been on Week's Best multiple times now, that's more than most artists on here can even wish for. Why aren't you just happy with the things you achieved because I can guarantee you that star begging wont get you into Top Ranked :P
