my math teacher once told me the average person only uses about 5 percent of the math they learn in school in their entire lives. NECCESARY IT IS NOT!!!! at least not for most people.

I used to think the same thing. I hated math! Long story short, I learned algebra at 31. Went to a trade school to get my A&P license to work on aircraft. I wanted an Associates Degree so I learned algebra, and a little trigonometry to get the degree. Try not to think that way. You never know what you want to do job wise until you get older. I loved being a aircraft mechanic.Get a job you really like. Trust me...
