"WHERE are you!?" he was starting to sound more agitated now and Athens flattened her ears, frowning. Why was /he/ of all people talking to her like this? Hadn't she already demostrated her strength?! Sure, she couldn't grasp the 'fine' art of making wine(Dominiq was stupid to think that was her talent) but she could easily lift those fifty-pound barrels in his basement!

A long, horribly worded curse met her ears. "I'm coming! Just gimme a second would ya'!?" she yelled back. She was trotting at her own pace towards the kitchen. Whywaste any energy for one of his little errands? She took a deep breath and pushed her anger elsewhere. She needed the money and she wasn't going to lose it over spilled wine.

"Now what do yo-..." her already quiet voice trailed off into silence. The kitchen was a mess. Cabinets open and empty bottles littering the table, something spilled, and shards of glass glittering on the ground. He was sitting on the floor with his back to her mumbling something. Then he slowly turned his head to her and looked at her with deep, foreign maroon eyes. "So, do you want me to clean this up?" she said, breaking the silence, and lifting her head more.

His eyes narrowed, making the light somehow illuminate his red eyes more. "Actually," he paused, "I have glass stuck in your, mfph, MY paw." he said, seeming to lose his quiet disposition immeadiately. "Don't you mean hoof?" she said making an unamused expression.
"No. Just take it out now, maid!" he retorted, putting emphasis on the last word. Ok now /what/ was really going on? Dominiq never called her that, he actually avoided the use of names unless he really needed it. He never said that out loud of course, but she picked up things easily. But, /maid/ of all things?! She narrowed her eyes and walked up to him.

He stuck out his right hoof quickly. She looked at it carefully, trying to see if there was yellow light reflecting off of any glass. She moved his hoof left and right slowly. Nothing.
"The glass must be too small-" "Of course there isn't any glass my dear! I just wanted to see you!" he said very blatantly. Now that he was actually talking out loud, she noticed his voice was much deeper than she originally thought. She could feel the ground vibrate(a little) each time he spoke.
"Er, why is that?" she asked carefully. He was actually really weird, talking up, the glint in his eyes, and the genuine /smile/ on his face.

"I just wanted to congratualate you on your fine skills of help my dear! Haven't had good help like this in, er, well," he paused, exaggerating his gestures indicating thought, "/Forever!/ Really, my parents had some that did meh good, but actually owning," /pause/ "having hired one makes it ten times better!" his smile grew larger and offered his arms out for a hug.
Athens snorted. "Um, it's alright, I just do what I have to..." She trailed off into thought. Touching him? Might as well have Celestia strike hher down now!
"Oh no! I insist!"
