I did use a picture, but it was on the top screen, not traced. I wouldn´t need so many guidelines if it was traced.
I followed (more or less) the techniques from Art Academy: sketch the overall shape, fill the main shapes with their main colors, refine the shapes, add shadows and then highlights.
(The floating problem is what I meant by bad perspective - I drew the bike in a different layer but it didn´t work well in 3D).

Nice job. I really like the shading on the bike. It makes it look so real! Even though you said there was a bad perspective, I think you compensated really well. I wish I could paint like that ... where did you learn?

Who cares about perspective? Even if it isn't perfect (which I would say it is) detail is more important - it too is perfect. Nice one.
