Redstar: Attention all Fire Clan cats! Blackstar has been plotting revenge on this clan and others. We have to stay on guard! I'll have the deputy take out a larger patrol from this sunrise on. I know we will not let Shadow Clan threaten our freedom any longer! I ask all the queens to please keep their kits in the nursery. I get the feeling we will be under siege soon, and maybe even another war will break out.
( she taps her tail on the Highrock.)

Willowtail: That's a pretty juicy-looking rabbit. Nice catch, Wolfheart. I wonder who'll be the lucky cat to eat it.
(Willowtail shifts her head to face a bush. Her ear twitches.)
Willowtail: (whispers)Shh! You hear that?
( Wolfheart nods. All of a sudden, something jumps out and tackles both of them)
???: Mrrrowr!
Willowtail & Wolfheart: Augh!
( they look up and realized it was Velvetpelt)
Velvetpelt: Haha! Did I scare you?
Willowtail: Ugh, stop playing around. You almost gave us a heart attack! What's gotten into you today? You're acting like a playful kit!
Velvetpelt: I'm sorry. I'm just so excited!
Willowtail: About what?
Velvetpelt: Oh, right. I was going to meet Pearlstar, my sister.
Willowtail: Who's she?
Velvetpelt: She's the leader of Sea Clan. She has a silvery white pelt, with golden eyes.
Willowtail: How come we don't know her?
Velvetpelt: Because...because she lives in... the sea...

Velvetpelt: It's a bit of a long story, and I've also kept it a secret...

Velvetpelt: Alright. Well, I wasn't always part of Fire Clan. I used to live in Sea Clan with my sister. Sea Clan cats are also known as Mercats. This may sound crazy, but Mercats are like how Twolegs picture mermaids.
Willowtail: Oookayyy...
Velvetpelt: You have to believe me! It's true! Anyway, one day a big storm came and washed me ashore. I was drenched, and realized my Mercat tail was gone. That's when I met Redstar, who was strolling along the beach. She spotted me, and came over. I was dragged to Fire Clan camp, where she said I'd be staying to regain my strength. But l never left. I became the new medicine cat, and helped many warriors recover. I forgot about my life in the ocean. But today, I am visiting Pearlstar again.It has been sixteen moons since the day I went into this clan. I just can't wait to see her!
Willowtail: Why is it not safe to tell Redstar, though?
Velvetpelt: Because if she found out I was from another clan, she might exile me.

Velvetpelt: I need a few cobwebs and some horsetail. They should both be nearby. I recognize the scent.
( Wolfheart nods and walks off. Willowtail encouraged Velvetpelt.)
Willowtail: Hey, It's OK. Your wound'll be patched up, and you'll get to see Pearlstar. I promise we'll get there before sunset. (she realizes something) Sunset! What is Redstar thinking now? We've been gone for quite a while!
