It's cool with me if they're here, but the painting you saw was actually correct. There's a manual for the Colors app. If you press the "home" button right now, it's in the middle of the bottom bar. Scroll down to number 23, "Joining the Colors! Gallery," where it specifically states that you need to be at least 13 years old to create an account. It says you NEED to be thirteen, not that it isn't recommended for anyone under. That's probably the case because they don't want want to break a US federal law called the "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act" or "COPPA"

Number 21 in the manual, I mean. Oops. :c

EVERYONE of ALL ages should be able to share their art!! Who cares what other people say about it! They can suck it up and move on with their life!!

Thank you all, for being suportive. WE ARE ALL ARTIST!! It doesnt matter our age, or our maturity. We all have amazing creativity, live's and everything above. We are all equal and there is no better person or artist.

I'm not saying either of you are completely right but both of you do have a point. I think the age should move to at least 11 but younger than that and a child should be supervised, I say this b/c I've had some experience with little kids on websites (mostly hatena) a lot of children are too young to even understand when something is wrong or they'll just go off and start trolling b/c someone doesn't agree with them and they don't get what they want, the point is that young children aren't mature enough to handle a website like this alone.

personally I like to promote an idea that pre teens can think for themselves but if your under 11 honestly no matter what maturity level your at your still pretty young to go around doing things a bit too mature for you. This is probobly why they have an age restriction on driving because no matter what maturity level the law is still the law and you just need to face the fact that you won't get your way all the time. But I think preteen are okay on here just not 10 or below. :l

I'm 23 and I think kids should be allowed to post, but only with supervision. You kids wouldn't go up to a group of utter strangers, alone, to show them a picture, would you? The age thing is there to protect you from danger you may not be able to see yet, but it's unfair to hide kids away forever, it's just about patience, and supervision for now, don't stride off on your own because that's where the danger may be.

i dont think kids under 13 should play this bc theres to much por -n around i dont call that art. besides that kids can play this np

i noticed the younger the kid the ruder they get to aged peeps like me... but thats my expirience...

i was eleven when i joined this...im older now, but i totally agree cuz anyone can be good at art but why should they not be allowed to show their art to the world???? the point is THEY ARE ALLOWED. THIS IS THE SAFEST WAY ANYWAY!!

I'm soon to be 14, and I never had any issues with it. I could see parents monitoring younger children in what paintings they look at or comments before they look at them, but there is no reason a kid shouldn't be able to get on here and share their art.

So this painting is old, but I saw it come up recently.

The reason we don't allow users under 13 here is because of child online privacy laws, such as COPPA. This prevents us from being allowed to store any kind of data about people under 13.

If we find out that someone using the gallery is currently under 13, we have to suspend their account and wipe all of their data, or we could face rather hefty fines.
