And so for the rest of the day the group jumped from branch to branch and tree to tree until the sun started setting and before anyone suggested to rest for the night, Rainpaw noticed that something was wrong with Silentshadow. He quitely hopped over to her and whispered "I dont have the cure, but I do know of something that will delay the disease. Trust me, I had it once myself."

True's temples pounded. Street's comment had ment to be a joke, but True hated it. She should have thanked the she-kat, but instead she growled under her breath. That was her one weakness... words. She hopped on, seething over the jokes made about herbin her old clan and scowled. She had hoped things would change, but she was still weak against simple words.... she would not give them another chance of embaressment to tease...

Streetfire leapt along, tireing, but still going strong. She glanced over at all of the cats. She imiediatly noticed Trueheart's scowle. Street lowered her head abit. Most of the cats were troubled but True seemed to be in the worst mood. Streetfire hopped over to Trueheart. She did have an idea of what was troubling her. " . . . I'm sorry . . . ", she said, quietly with her head down. Even if it wasn't her fault, the winged feline was still sorry for whatever troubled Trueheart.

*Silentpaw's head snapped up at Rainpaw's words. Her eyes were wide with suprise and about to overflow with tears of hope* "Really? You had it too? When? How?" *She sat straighter as she waited to hear Rainpaw's story and what could help her*

Raccontail hoped over to the group of cats. We should get some rest.

"but theres one problem," Rainpaw said as he finished his explaination to Silentpaw, "The effects only last one two week, one time only. Especially be careful of that as soon as the effects of the medicine wears off, the disease will consume you and only the cure can save you... So, do you want it still?"

True came back from her flashback with a jolt. "Huh-wha? Oh, don't worry, it's not your fault, I just get affended to easily. I've been made fun of since I was a kit, for being... different, and... well, I just guess I never got over it..." Her scowl disapeared, and she offered a weak smile. "Thanks for saving me." She offered. True sighed. She felt that no one understood her past...

Streetfire nodded. " Atleast you didn't haveto run from every cat you met . . . ," she thought, thinking back to her rogue days.

Raven tried to be strong...But exshuastion ripped at her like claws and fangs. She then saw the sun rising. We've been running for that long? She though to herself. She looked behind her for just a moment and suddenly then was nothing but air beneath her paws. With a thud she fell into some extremely tall grass. Raven's breath was knocked out of her. She layed there gasping for breath for a moment and then heard worried meows from her travelmates. She forced herself up. and looked around her. From every direction eccept the one they came from there was just the odd long golden grass. Miles upon miles....The thought of no trees really bothered Ravenflight. Without trees half of her training was useless! When she realized she'd been standing there silent for a few minutes she quickly said. "Oh don't worry. I'm fine...Why don't we rest here...."

Streetfire hopped off, concerened but Ravenflight was perfectly fine. " I haven't been to The Golden Grassess since-, " she said but then spied a butterfly and chased after it. ( The Golden Grassess is what she calls Petalclan territory )

True looked around her. Despite the odd, new, tree-less surroundings, she thought it was beautiful. She giggled as Street chased a butterfly. As TrueHeart laid down to rest, she thought she heard a hissing noise, but ignored it, thinking it was just the wind flowing through the grass. Suddenley, it was everywhere! True sat bolt up, tense. She whipped her head around to see what the cause was, fearing the worst. The fur on her neck bristled and her claws unsheathed. They were Petal Clan sentry cats, about five or six surroundding the group, and they didn't look too happy...

*Silentpaw sighed in relief as the Petalclan cats began to lead them through their territory, then began walking backwards so she could face Rainpaw. Rainpaw's eyes went a bit wide at her ability to walk backwards, and she smiled* "So, after a week, it wears off and the disease takes over right then? Hmm, I may wait until-" *she felt the icy crawling increase, and her eyes dialated* "Yeah, I'll take it now, if you don't mind."

Streetfire flew over head, uncomferterble with all of the new faces. She brushed the top of the grass and then flapped back into the air, enjoying the sun. The pleasent climate was drowseing. After awhile, her golden eye's closed and she fell, right onto Rainpaw. " I-I'm s-so sorry, Rain! Sorry-y! ," she stuttered, rappidly becoming shy again with all of the other felines staring at her.

Ravenflight really was feeling tired but now they were under the command of petalclan cats. Petalclan was the most peaceful of the clans. She sighed she couldn't understand their apprihention. We were chosen to save the clans! Sandtrap looked at Raven ************ for a moment. Raven glared back. Sandtrap intimadated ducked his head. This place was truly like a maze... Many hours passed. Then finally they reached the end of they're territory....The great unknown. Twoleg buildings seem to scratch the sky! They could hear sounds from two-legs...and monsters. Petalclan stepped back. "We can lead you no Far.ther..." They said. Raven nodded. "Thank you for you as.sisten.ce..." She looked ahead, the wind buffeting her in this tree-less landscape.... She began the next leg of the journey...Although her muscels ached and hunger clawed at her belly...

Streetfire stalked along with her friends, slightly intimidated. She had been in the vasr city just once. It had overloaded her sences and frightened her. Street gulped, tired and hungry. But she delt with it.

TrueHeart ran up to talk to Raven. "Hey, I know you're inchange Raven, and I don't want to challenge that, but most of us our hungry and tired. May I prepose we stop, eat, and camp here for the night? It's best cause in the two-leg territory ahead, there will be no place to rest easy." True looked at her leader for an answer...

"Umm, they should have let us go through since Im a medicine cat" piped up Rainpaw. He hadnt found the medicine but when they left the petalclan territory, there it was, at the top of a tree, being held by a squirell. "Let me just climb this tree for a second," and he dashed up the bark and quickly grabbed the squirell by its neck.This took not too long, but not too short either. Everyone looked at Rainpaw in confusion when he hit the solid

ground.

Streetfire alighted beside Thunder, also awaiting Raven's command. " How are you? ," she asked, gesturing at Thunderstrike's wound's.

*Silentpaw stared at Rainpaw as he shimmied up the tree with ease and her jaw dropped at how easily he climbed. He grabbed the squirrel quickly and jumped down in front of Silentpaw with a smile. She smiled back, but her stomach twisted with cold. She extended her claws and her smile got forced* "Can I eat it now, please?" *she squirmed a bit*

Raven nodded she felt uneasy about camping between Petal clan and a twoleg city but she nodded "We should all rest. " Street, True, and Racoontail come with me we must hunt first. The rest of you stay and rest." She said carefully. The cats nodded. So she and the patrol headed out. They went to the city park and scented the air. Squrills....Squrills everywhere!
