these are called emoji shortcodes, and are pretty common across social platforms :) i beleive the ones that colors live uses are lifted directly from discord, but i totally agree that some aren't super obvious - i guess when there's several hundred emojis it becomes difficult to give them all short simple names ":)

unfortunately adding an emoji keyboard to the switch isn't possible because of nintendo restrictions, otherwise we would have done so :)

also sorry if i was being disrespectful cause of the title and description
i completely understand the emoji restrictions cuz of nintendo restrictions, my point here was naming the emojis something more simpler
like :anguished: < this emoji couldve been named "shocked" or "shock"
another example is this emoji :imp: < could've been named demon
however im not the one to bring changes we appreciate your hard work on this platform :D although its been dead recent
