Dickensian Green by Munin
Painted to mark the 200th anniversary of ol' Charles. The phrase might not ring home over seas as it's a quintessentially English one. I guess in basic modern (internet) terms it can be summed up as "WTF?". It's like saying "what the Dickens is that beard all about!" The subtext and origins are obviously lost. :)

Yeah, i grew up with that saying.. being in Canada, and a Dominion of ole England... great piece, and yet.. i'm really drawn to the texturing on the left side of the painting. Lovely!
