It's strange, since I feel like a waste of space here, since I do get multiple likes on my art, but I feel like I oddly don't deserve them, and maybe, it's true.

Two big hyperfixations of mine are The Rock-afire Explosion and The MoonRockers (both of them are animatronic bands), and I also just find animatronics fascinating in general, but I'm always worried about being judged for posting about them :')

Due to the multiple shades of pink I added to Poppy's design, I oddly almost feel like I only made a cringy character. I don't know why I feel like this.

Sadly I understand the pain, but to let your brain or anyone tell you that you don't deserve any of the likes or compliments you get, You deserve every bit of love you get and I'm sure there would be so many people who would agree that you deserve it and more! :heart_decoration:

I'm not entirely sure, as yes, I'll admit, I've used a lot of bases before. And I still do. And it wouldn't have been bad to me, when I suddenly look. Because, I always make my main in handmade posts, and while I'm trying to draw other characters, I feel oddy cringy.

@Poppy-4-life everyone has starts somewhere, I used alot of bases as well, I never really posted them cuz I think they're lwk bad and they lwk are, but yours are still good and I think your brave for posting them, and your doing your best and thats all that matters. And yeah I will admit, I don't really know how to help with the fact you feel cringy about it, but know me(and plenty of others) don't think that all this(aka your art) is cringy. Don't doubt yourself, because what truly matters is that you treat people nicely and that your loving and kind. :heart:

I know, but I always had a odd feeling that most people would see me as a base kid or cringy, I never know why I feel this.

@Poppy-4-life Art is something that takes plenty of years to practice. I started drawing when i was 10 back in 2020, i could only draw stick figures and creepy gacha characters (if it makes you feel better, it was SO MUCH WORSE than this lol), and here I am able to draw what I never thought I could accomplish. The best way to improve in art--especially when drawing a main character--is experimentation. If you need any help or more tips I'm always willing to help! :D

Besides, not all stories requires good art. I personally like the different things you come up with in the "poppyverse"

Calico. You underestimate the amount of versions I made of her before, and I swear, it was a massive amount.

yeah I also had a bajillion personas... i had a major online identity crisis back then xD

the funny thing is all my old personas still exist as used characters in my anime series

Maybe try experimenting by expanding your art style? Something you could try is drawing different types of lines, eyes, mouths, so on and so forth. Try to see what you like from a wide variety of artists and practice and try to apply it to your own style! This is a good way to also connect with and learn from artists as well (at least in my opinion)

I'm just speakin from experience here, trying many different things to see what sticks helped improve my way of drawing a lot xD
