Folks can speculate! So far in our house these are the top theories:
- a body
- her wedding ring
-all she wanted for Christmas was a hippopotamus, but now she is not sure if it is still there

@The_Adjudicator Oh, turtles are nice. Though if it is one of those large snapping turtles, you might want to make sure it wasn't still there before taking a swim! Those things could take off a toe!

Ah yes, she might be looking to see if the lady of the lake is still there, as in Arthur's time.
Or maybe she was the lady in the lake and needed a break? And she is seeing if her comfortable spot is still there!
