Yes! i have tips, (cred from pear-60 tho)
first finish what you are drawing and put together the lineart and coloring, then duplicate the layer and um do the lock thing and color the layer red and do the same thing and color the layer blue, then tone the colors down reallyyyy far so u can barley see it, then get ur eraser and then tone down the opacity and then slighty erase the area where u want it to be lighter ^^

just go with what you feel looks best, i use the lighten tool and such,
