i was kinda lazy... sorry
i wrote something for this scene... im going to paste it in on my laptop:
A shadowy figure slipped past the guards at the opulent palace, which the kingdom, known widely as Vailest, housed for its elite. The figure moved like a shadow through the seldom-populated corridors, advancing with calculated precision. As he neared the end of a hall, he felt someone in front of him, and unable to stop in time, he bumped into the person. He stepped back as the figure turned—a giant they seemed to be, towering over him.
“What business do you have here?” he inquired in a menacing tone. A notably shorter figure, wearing a similarly colored uniform, began to approach, likely wondering the same.
“W-well, sir!” the figure stammered, although his black clothes had probably given him away as an enemy. “I seem to have gotten lost!” He tried his best to play a simple lost citizen, though it probably wouldn’t work. The guards stationed here were clearly experienced.
“One does not simply… lose themselves in a palace.” The other person—likely they were both guards—spoke. A pit dropped in the figure's stomach; he might not get back to his own lands tonight.
It seemed the more he tried to reason with the guards, the more they began to loathe him as time went on. As such, he decided to do the one thing a man of his (previous) stature could: lie his way out. Of course, it did no good
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

(continued)
As he spoke, words flowed off his tongue, yet they seemed not to work.
“Sirs, what is it you wish to hear for me to depart?” he asked a foolish question, but ’twas all he had left.
“What WE wish to hear!” the taller one laughed. “You seem amusing, small spy.” He looked at his partner with a smirk, then back at the figure. “Tell me something from where you are from. I would like to hear about life on the other side of Stonenguard.”
The guard’s partner scowled and muttered something in his native tongue, yet did not interfere as the figure jested for the guard—desperate for his life, yet oddly enjoying himself. At one point, he even commented on the shorter guard's height. Somehow shorter than his own! And the mood was further loosened by a bottle of spirits the figure had brought, originally intending to drink it as a celebration of success, but now as a way to survive through merriment.
Footsteps sounded down the corridor as someone else approached, and the lighthearted atmosphere dissolved. “Go now, small spy, but if you return, your luck will not be this grand!” And with that, the figure slipped out a window, scaling the wall, then returning to his homelands.
