i try to stick as closely as i can to the original, in colours, composition, but ofc in my own helpless style. u know, till a month ago i had not made a drawing for 20 yrs!

Ahh yes, according to the greeks if you spoo into some sea foam, an unparalleled beauty will rise from the sea in an oyster. I've tested this theory repeatedly to no avail. It just makes a mess!

This is the actual Greek myth. One of the gods got his ballz cut off.They threw them in the ocean and they started to foam up. Venus was born from that foam

Nice to know someone besides me remembers twenty years ago...Great drawing...saw a graffiti version of this on a building once...the stupid owner was painting over it!

Venus is the roman form of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty. And, when she was born, she did rise from the sea from sea form (pieces of Ouranos) but she never stood on a seashell. Just saying.
