How to distract them: Have someone pretend to find them, they get aggressive if found, disguise as her, she'll get confused.

(To clarify, Where's Poppy was my own version of the Where's Waldo anomaly I made a few months ago, and I thought I may re-introduce her by adding her to the story-)
