Ciel: yes, but it's all over now soo... Oh right! I'm going to the Market Festival wth Crystal and Yvel! Do you wanna come too?

Jewel: I don't think I've the strength to walk that far yet. You guys go without me, have fun ok?

Ciel: oh, alright… I’ll make sure to buy something delicious for you!!

Jewel: haha you are so sweet Ciel, but don’t worry about me, the only thing you have to do is have fun, now go!

-Jewel encourages Ciel to go with a nod. Crystal, Yvel and Ciel leave for the Festival-

Jewel: can you tell me why you’re hiding?

-Fern comes out from behind the curtains-

Fern: umm… well… *embarrassed* idk… maybe they were gonna misunderstand…

Jewel: And what were they gonna misunderstand? You are here to do a checkup on me.

Fern: *sigh* yeah, yeah… you’re right ‘El… I MEAN, Jewel… *looks away*

Jewel: *smiles* it’s alright, you can call me that, we’ve known each other since childhood, we can drop the formalities.

Fern: Oh, sure

Jewel: are you gonna checkup on my wing or not?

Fern: AH- Right!

-Fern carefully removes the medical tape from Jewel’s injured wing-

Fern: can you stretch your wing for me?

Jewel: *tries* it hurts *holding back tears*

Fern: ok ok thats alright you can relax now. *sigh* It’s not looking very good…

-a subtle movement of Fern’s tail gives away his thoughts to Jewel-

Jewel: you can be honest. I’ll never fly again right?
