"Look, Lowell isn’t bad because he made a wrong choice one day. He’s bad because the story needed a villain, and that’s just how Shey made him—‘corrupt.’ He didn’t have a choice! His role was set from the start so everything else would work. And the thing is, he knows it. He just… accepts it, even if that sucks.

The real problem isn’t being the villain. The problem is what happens when the curtain drops. Nobody wants the villain around, nobody asks how he’s doing, and over time, that constant rejection turns into him rejecting himself.

It leaves this huge empty space. It’s not just being alone—it’s that feeling that even if there were people, he couldn’t really stay. And he can’t even be alone with his thoughts.
And when someone shows him some affection… he just freezes for a second, like he has no idea what to do with it. He’s learned to protect himself by being cold; being ‘the bad guy,’ because he doesn’t know where to put the love he feels without it hurting him.

I don’t think Lowell needs redemption, no. He doesn’t need to be good to deserve anything. What he needs is way simpler than that: just a friend. Someone who listens without judging or trying to fix him, someone who likes him exactly as he is.
And yeah! I guess that someone could be... me! Not to save him or change anything, but because nobody should have to carry a role like that completely alone. Even a villain needs someone to care about them"
