The fourth of Eraqus' apprentices, Ignis, a genius in technological prowess, always vied for recognition and respect. Xehanort recognized Ignis' desire to prove himself as well as his insecurites, exploiting them to turn him against the others, resulting in a battle that ended with Eraqus' demise. Realizing Xehanort deceived him and he destroyed his family, Ignis, armed with his new Keyblade 'Dragonflame', now dedicates his waking hours to stop Xehanort, no matter the cost.
