ooh. i was in band in 6th grade

one time i was playing the drums correctly like my conductor told me to, she then forced me to leave the room for "playing incorrectly" ._.

one time i cried while reading in band
also i broke my reed at a show once (clarinet)

That lwk sounds like a experience I had during band this year-

I was panicking and trying 2 complete work during band while still playing and my director said I wasnt participating (WHEN I CLEARLY WAS.) and she took 10 points off my grade.....

My conductor once told us that the way we were playing reminded him of "a jellyfish flying an aeroplane... gross!"
I have many quotes from him, not all of them strictly acceptable :sweat_smile:

Also someone told me I needed to talk to someone about cutting myself (I don't SH) because she saw cuts on my wrists that I'd gotten from wheeling the timpani around! It was a little awkward haha

Genuinely I can say something close to that- Because my ex who I showed the video to my last performance to, Im a percussionist and I had to play the triangle, Crash cymbols and the tambourine, At the end my conductor just smiled at me because Im the loud, energetic and obnoxious percussionist in the whole band and she gave me the task of being loud, So I did my job beautifully- AND MY EX HAD THE NERVE TO SAY I LOOKED LIKE THE MONKEY ON THE SIMPSONS..

for TWO YEARS my band didnt have brass or woodwind. just guitar, piano, violin and bagpipes or smth

those two years were last year and this year

gosh i love being in band :yum: so im in marching band (flute) and one day we had our practice and everything was going smoothly. we were resetting a set and my friend comes up to me and hes like "isnt that (another friends) bf? and yeah hes up there waving at his gf. somehow our band director saw him (he was up in the bleachers) and yelled at him. The bf then decides to FLIP HIM OFF and hes now banned from our practices :yum:

im not in band nor the other but im in choir.. Buttt i have a story from the band teacher! so the band and choir class rooms are like right next to each other and my choir teacher told me to give smth to the band teacher in which i did . before i left i talked to some 6th grader then went back . as i went and opened the door for choir i notice a song was being played and out of no where some how my band teacher is behind me yelling turn that song off! scared the absolute shi out of me to the

i also yelled not as loud and my friend who was near busted out laugh and choked on water. serves them right.
but that song is one my band teacher hates and every time we play it he suddenly is in our door. but he is a very funny teacher! He teachers treble choir so he is still my teacher.

I LOVE playing the crash cymbals - if they didn't cost so much I'd buy my own!!!!

There was this bıtch-āss 14-year-old who also played percussion, but clearly hated it and made every orchestra course a NIGHTMARE.
He wouldn't bother to learn his part during our rehearsals, then complain about us other percussionists complaining about him to our tutor, then fūck up his part in the concert and ruin it for everyone. He once played so badly that our conductor made us re-play the end of a piece IN THE ACTUAL CONCERT.

I don't play band but the band teacher smashed someones phone on the ground one time.

choir teacher was talking to kids about foot finder once too

did a duet with someone (both of us are double bass) and her instrument kept squeaking
