Each gem has a spirit related to the gem's power, example: Stellar's gem is a healing gem and her spirit is Althea, Althea is Stellar's guardian angel. Althea heals and resurrects

And Damon's gem is a kīlling gem his gem's spirit is Azrael and Azrael is like a shadow, it watches and kîlls

Each spirit has the same powers the gem has but stronger but the spirits can only be summoned by the gem's holder
