ofc i love them all equally (mostly) but those have a special place in my heart. i think i dislike xtale the most but thats mainly because in popular fan animated series UnderVerse, the creation of Xtale leads to th heavy mischaracterization of the skele i fictionkin: ink
the way hes portrayed (intentional or not) writes him out to be a villain, even above Xgaster. The fandom decided to interpret this as : "OH HES EVIL AND WE HATE HIM!!!"
disgusting tbh becaue his entire mission was living
He was working with Xgaster towards the X event because of the threat error posed to his wellbeing, not because he had any intentions of harming others.
His entire place in the lore is: guy who likes living and has a phobia of being forgotten. he lives off the creativity of the creators, who make the AUs, but Error's mission is to destroy the aus and then himself.
No aus = Ink dies.
so whdn he gets told by xgaster that if he helps carry out 1 small event, he will get to live the rest of his-
especially considering how later in underverse, error invades the doodle sphere and destroys ALL the aus. This means that if Ink can't carry out the Xevent and help Xtale survive? He dies too. Reminder!!! error isn't the villain either! he has different goals for different reasons but canonically he and ink would be chill and friends.
Also how people make ink bad for disagreeing with dream?? dreams goal is to keep the emotional balance positive, right?
But Ink's goal is to protect the multiverse, and the aus in general. The REASON they disagreed is because the things they have to do to live are wildly different, Ink needs the Aus, and Dream needs people to be happy. If the balance tips to negativity? Dream loses magic and dies. No aus? Ink dies.
So when they disagree over Ink needing to prioritize his saftey and ability to see another day, while Dream wants go focus on positivity, Ink isn't the villain. Ink's threat is more immediate!!
im glad its one of my favourite points to talk about because i fictionkin Ink Sans and it makes me really upset when people misinterpret his intentions
