copinglink basically means its a fictionkin like connection that i formed intentionally to cope with specific traumas that they help me deal with.

copinglink doesn't necessarily have to be linked to specific traumas, that just it for me, it can also just be using the character to cope with general issues.
copinglink can overlap with fictionkin, but for me my links don't have memories, shifts, or a real sense of wrong due to not being them attached so i consider them only copinglinks! sorry im infodumping :sob:

okay so megalosomnia is a game where sans gets control of his powers and learns how to hypnotize people and erase memorys. He uses it to give everybody in the underground exactly the life they all want AND make himself royal scientist.

The problem with this is when the human (you) fall down, you are essentially reminding people of who they were before and he doesn't like that, so he hypnotizes you and pulls you down to the secret lab for a chat

during this chat there is the option to flirt with him (???) and eventually it leads to the three different kinds of kiss options you want. whatever you choose doesn't matter because eventually he hypnotizes you again so you forget what happened and go back wigh general papyrus.

in this au, Sans is named Dr. Baggs, due to his eyebags which im guessing are from sleepless nights at the lab. His eyelights are white and magenta and his magic and teal and magenta.

also the voice actor is.. MMMMMM

@-skull- you can be both fictionkin/fictionhearted and copinglink for a character!
for me the main way to tell between fictionkin and fictionhearted is that, for me, i feel like i am the character. i get upset tht i don't look like them, i miss my source, i also get physical shifts and memories (not everyone gets these though!!).
For fictionhearted its more like a deeper than normal, non coping based, connection but you don't necessarily see yourself as being them, or having been in the past

And you can be a fictionkin without believing in anything like past lives, multiverse, or reincarnation! I know many who do and many who don't! In the end its up to you to decide whether you really are or not, and i recommend you do some thinking for yourself about it. I find that immersion in the source material or fan content for the media your kintype originates from can help you understand yourself better.

dude i played it.

not actually as cringy as thought it might be. I died a couple different time with some of the parts but i genuinely enjoyed the game.

CONS: there are several (like 3 or 4) scenes where you Cannot progress the game without MOANING at jeff. it is the most embarrassing thing ever because looks at you like you're f*cking crazy and then stabs out your eye.

PROS: theres a really hot doctor character in game and you cant go on a date with him but i really want him

There are also later two sensual scenes which can be avoided by saying you don't want to go any further.

To summarize th game: You work at a video store and meet some guy who comes in and buys a horror movie. Later when going home the same guy pulls you into an alleywau and takes ojt your eye. When in the hospital he sneaks in and MAKES YOUR KIDNEYS FAIL??? you are seved both times. This weird thing continues until one night you avoid him so for the next day he doesn't trh and k*ll you

that night you meet the white boy at the bar but he doesn't do anything and NOBODY NOTICES HIM???? instead you make small talk and he has the most UGLY side sht i've ever seen. After this he attempt to hunt you again the next night but you ask why exactly hes been leaing you alive. This gives you twl options and i think they lead to the same endings. He kidnaps you, moves you tl tetnus haven and confessing his undying love for you (and offers to lick your feet.) in one ending you just die.
