Tonight is my last night in my house before we move on Friday. After 3 years and 3 months of waiting, we're finally leaving this hēllhole. And I'm not sure I'm entirely ready to go.
I had a lovely day with one of my best friends, and we ate sweets and watched Maestro together, so I got to rant about my hubby to her. Now I'm home, and have eaten tea and watched a bit of the second Fantastic Beasts that was on ITV, I'm not feeling very comfortable.

Listening to The Seasons (NOT VIVALDI IT'S GLAZUNOV THEY'RE MUCH BETTER) and Troika is on this CD too, so awaiting my first Christmassy fun of the year (he says, pretending he hasn't been playing Christmas music in orchestra for the past month and humming Sleigh Ride every other song)
Just feeling quite fragile tonight. Need a hug :(

I'm gonna miss this house, no matter how painful or cold or depressing it's been for the past 6 years. I'm gonna miss the way it smells, and the painted beams, and the good memories that are attached to it.

Ugh… I’ve never gone through a move myself, but it must be such an intense mix of emotions, and it makes perfect sense that you’re feeling fragile tonight.
Big changes — even the good ones, even the ones you’ve been waiting YEARS for — shake you in ways you don’t expect until you’re right in the middle of them.
Don’t worry, you don’t need to feel “ready” for this move to still be the right step. It’s completely normal to miss parts of the house you’re leaving behind — the smell, the painted beams, the good memories still clinging to the walls… that’s not weakness. It’s a sign that you’re human, and that you lived a real life there, not just a bad chapter.
And tonight, after a lovely day with your friend, sweets, movies, and Christmas music, you absolutely deserve a big, warm, steady hug! SENDING YOU THE BEST VIRTUAL HUG RN!!!!!! :^)
You can feel sadness for the place you’re leaving and relief for finally moving on. But I’m sure that on Friday you’ll meet a new place where you can build unforgettable new memories.
If you want to talk about the fear, the excitement, or just distract yourself with something silly, I’m right here.
I’ll do my best to be more active in December!!!
I’ll try to post drawings and keep up with your gorgeous art as well, jsjsjsj I adore you, Lenny!!! <3<3<3

@sharp_eyed_detective awwww thank you m'darling <3 I really needed to hear that actually, that's really helped.
I'm going to sleep now, as I've finished my Christmas music and need to get some rest so I don't fall apart completely tomorrow, but I'll try to draw more too this month and be around to chat! And always feel free to hit me up on Tumblr - I know you're not super active on there (neither am I really haha) but I check it most days, and it's much easier to type on!

@sharp_eyed_detective thank you for the hug and your endless support - I don't know what I'd do without you! Much love back your way of course ♥♥♥♥♥♥

*sends vitual hugs your way
ive moved houses four diffrent times now, so im pretty used to it.
the only house ive actually missed was the first one i was in once i went to foster care.
it was a bungalow, really nice layout and had an cool old fireplace with REAL fossils in it! it was great.
All the other places ive lived have been ether poorly maintained or just built badly. the one im in now, for example, it was renovated right before we moved in but two years after that we needed a full upstairs bathroom reno.
the kitchen is tiny,we can barley fit 3 people in there. no dinning room so we have to eat at a tiny table in the kitchen that already has no room for it. AND it didnt have a dishwasher so we had to buy one separte and we gotta drag it around the area to the sink and plug it into the tap to do dishes. We have no storage space,oh! dont foget we haveno air conditioning! so in summer we put fans everyone or we would boil :'D

so yeah. needless to say i get it.
im sure our sitations are quite diffrent, but i can likely sympathize / empathize
so try not to get too down on yourself!!
im sure things you will get used to the new surroundings.
Maybe in time youll find it is better that before. at least i hope so.
also try to get your mind off it abit. do something you enjoy to feel better.
good luck friend!

Having been a military child, i have moved pretty much once a year, near my birthday every time. Being introverted doesn't help either, cuz once i got friends, i just moved away, and its really hard to make new ones. I get ur pain and sadness, and i really do wish u the best. Im sure you'll be happy in ur new home!
.
i can relate so much to this rn, im gonna have to move soon too, later early next year, near my b-day (AGAIN)

in whatever u do, u r going to be great. A house may hold a lot of memories and meaning in ur life, but a new house is a fresh start to make even better ones. I know that u will make that house a home

yeah... moving isn't that great...
i changed home when i was little, in the same city as before and felt so bad, you have to leave all your memories there, but don't worry, you'll make new ones
