I recently read through a student painting book at the college I work for and learned quite a bit about adding lights and shadows to traditional painting from it. Digital painting as with ColorsLive doesn't have the same limitations as traditional, so shading in this manor is the best way to add shadows there.

There is an argument to be had that traditional shading could be better for digital as well though.

On a side note, I noticed in your gallery description that you noticed some comments seem to be disappearing from the gallery.
I could think of a couple reasons why that might be the case. If a user account gets deleted or banned, their comments would disapear along with it. It's also possible someone might have taken back a comment and erased it for one reason or another. Do you think you have a guess as to why it might be happening?
