Soo basically they fought in a war that took place when they were in 5th grade (they're 17-16 in the present, so that was 4-5 years ago) their parents died trying to save them, and they just bond over it I guess? They're kind of loose friends with slight benefits at the moment, but they don't know about eachother's feelings, so any closeness they both see as platonic, but wish it wasn't. The reason I say "loose friends" is because they're somewhat frenemies
