Here's a tip: If you reference the eyes, the poodle seems to be turned directly toward you. But if you reference the mouth, the dog is in somewhat of a side view, or looking to the right. You want to have the eyes and the mouth aligned, so that you don't have conflicting ...directions. If you want the poodle to be in a side view, you should see one eye, while the other is partially hidden. If you want the poodle to look straight forward, then you would have to align the mouth to be closest to you - the nose to be aligned just below the middle between the eyes. :)
