#hollowknight this took longer then i expected.
been working on concept art for 2 games and thats been kicking my butt. i wanna post some of the art but which would you be more interested in?
the first one is a metroidvania called 'by a candles light' that follows, well, a candle person named wax
the second one is a horror rpg with elements taken from hyper light drifter, oneshot and undertale that follows a pumpkin person named gore (please someone get that name)

I'm a fan of any good Metroidvania. I love the formula of ability based progression systems. Seeing upgrades or items just out of reach, and wondering how you're supposed to get there, only to gain some new ability that makes new methods of travel possible, and realizing you can go back to those previously explored regions and get what you couldn't before is such a fun concept.

@Smore broken vessel is my favorite little guy i love them so much. i love the little guy and they are vary pretty. i think that they have so much potential in a backstory. how did they die, how did they get to the great basin. they are just so interesting to me

@The_Adjudicator i think metroidvanias are a under used game genre. exploring a world like hollow knight is so fun but i can only think of 4 games besides the ones that the genre is literally named after. it also is a type of game that looks amazing in 2d. most games are 3d and those can be really good but im a sucker for good 2d art styles in games

Ori and the Will of the Wisps is another of my favorite MetroidVanias.
And I agree with the charm of 2D games. Some of my favorite 2D games, while not MetroidVanias, would include:
Spelunky 2, Dragon marked for Death, BlazBlue: Entropy Effect(On Steam)
These are ones I've played a lot. I still need to get around to playing RainWorld and DeadCells. I've heard a lot of good things about those games.
