#Aerobuoy
We’ve got an emergency situation here! I don’t want to gaslight you into a panic but with this creature floating freely words are not enough to diffuse the situation! Our buddy 8U-D1, Aerobuoy decided to break out of containment! With it’s abilities to expel deadly gas and multiply rapidly it won’t take long for this problem to get much worse…
*For anyone who may be confused, you can also make your own original. The templates I drew aren't mandatory for this challenge. They mainly serve as an example or inspiration  *
The Colors! Gallery moderators will look at it as soon as possible.

Abilities:
Flight- Deceptively light for its large size and full of gas, Aerobuoy can drift just as freely in air as it can in any liquid, regardless of density.
Budding- The growths, or buds on all over its body are not only constantly expelling gas but also miniature versions of itself. Aerobuoy is in a constant state of asexual reproduction, as long as it consumes enough organic matter it has enough energy to keep multiplying.
Extreme Survival- Aerobuoy is an extreme survivalist. It’s capable of withstanding extreme heat, cold, radiation, biological warfare, and just about anything the universe can throw at it. When times get tough, it can rapidly adapt, or in even more extreme conditions, retreat into a dormant state until conditions improve.
Absorption- Aerobuoy can absorb most types of organic and non-organic matter into itself that make contact with it for more than a few seconds or a few minutes. It can even absorb materials and chemicals that would be harmful to most other organic lifeforms and incorporate it into its biology.
Diffusion- After absorption of excess matter, Aerobuoy can expel them as harsh substances, gases and other hazardous byproducts for defensive use.
Inflation & Deflation- It can inflate and deflate its whole body or parts of its body, enabling it to squeeze into areas that would otherwise be too small for it to fit.
Vacuum Suction- Through its mouth and tail, it can create a vacuum for rapidly sucking things in.
Gas Propulsion- It can expel the gas within its body in a concentrated burst to propel itself at high speeds or as a cloud to cover large area.
Rapid Regeneration- It’s adaptability and high metabolism means it can rapidly recover from any injury. Even being cut into pieces doesn’t do much to slow it down since the pieces will almost immediately regenerate into mini versions of itself.
Physicality:
Strength- Its muscles are not strong enough to support its bodyweight on their own. Most of its power comes from using the gases within its body to increase its physical capabilities. It’s boneless and according to researchers, its body feels like a combination of taffy and jello.
Intelligence- Its intelligence is quite low, yet at the same time it seems to show curiosity about its environment beyond just basic survival instinct. Occasionally it will chew, swallow, and spit up random objects like a toddler. It seems that chewing or swallowing random things is how it learns about the world. It’s also very easy to distract due to its low attention span.
Speed- Underestimating how fast it can suddenly move has claimed the lives of quite a few researchers. Normally it drifts almost aimlessly, like a balloon lost in the wind. Until it sees something of interest and then propels itself towards it at high speed.
Agility- It can move like a balloon with a tail that’s become untied. Meaning it can move very fast and suddenly but often lacks finer control over its movements.
Defense- It’s only real defenses are its size, rapid regeneration, and ability to reproduce rapidly. It’s body is incredibly soft, lightweight and malleable.
Stamina- Despite its high metabolism it has more than enough energy to any survive harsh conditions if it needs to. If things get too bad it can enter a dormant state to conserve energy.
Regeneration- What it lacks in defense it more than makes up for in regenerative abilities. Cut it into pieces, smash it, and slash it to your hearts content, unless you can contain it in a highly specialized location, or just burn or freeze it faster than can it heal , it will keep regenerating rapidly.
Behavior, habits and how it hunts:
Captivity-
As long you can feed and contain them, keeping them in containment isn’t too difficult. They don’t require much mental stimulation and are perfectly happy drifting aimlessly in their environment as long their needs are met. However, if they aren’t fed they will become incredibly aggressive, cannibalize, and constantly

Captivity-
As long you can feed and contain them, keeping them in containment isn’t too difficult. They don’t require much mental stimulation and are perfectly happy drifting aimlessly in their environment as long their needs are met. However, if they aren’t fed they will become incredibly aggressive, cannibalize, and constantly try to break out at every opportunity until they burn through most of their energy and fall into a dormant state.
Habitat-
It's nomadic but has a preference towards habitats with a lot of potential prey and elements it can consume to covert into the energy needed to stay airborne and reproduce. Due to its high metabolism and constant budding, it needs to constantly feed to fuel its constant growth and constant reproduction. Besides those instinctive goals, it has a very one track mind with not much else going on in its multiple brains. It’s also not above cannibalizing its own offspring if resources are scarce and it can’t find enough prey. Its at home in water, near the ground, and high in the air. Wherever food is, it will follow.
Killing Method-
It's method of attack is very simple. Lunge and bite at something until it can catch and eat it. It uses gas to propel itself at prey at a high speed, clumsily smashing through or into things in the process. What it lacks in finesse it makes up for in relentlessness, which often results in it damaging itself. The damage heals up almost instantly and any parts broken off of it become their own individual and begin to attack whatever the original Aerobuoy was attacking as well, swarming them. These attacks aren’t coordinated at all and are more akin to a feeding frenzy, often resulting in the buddlings killing not just their prey but often each other too in the process.
Aerobuoy will also use its gas defensively when it feels threatened enough. Expelling toxic, corrosive gas to obscure vision and damage enemies or would-be predators.
Weaknesses and how to deal with the Aerobuoy:
When dealing with this creature hiding inside a small area like the inside of a building or another structure may seems like a good idea but if you aren’t careful you can trap yourself. You have to keep in mind that it can deflate to squeeze into smaller spaces so you will need to make sure that the area is so small that if it deflates too much it will expel most of its gas and lose the ability to stay airborne if it keeps pursing you.
You will also have to keep in mind that doing damage to it that cuts it into smaller pieces will get you killed since it will just regenerate into smaller versions or release offspring that will swarm you. You’ll want to damage or slow it down it in a way that causes it to burn through energy healing.
If it catches you out in the open your chances are slim but not impossible. Because it lacks finer control of its movements you are able to dodge it if it lunges at you if you time your dodge correctly.
Take advantage of its low intelligence and one track mind. If you can distract it and trick it into going after something else it may just forget about you altogether.
The best way overall to deal with Aerobuoy is to do something that can cause it to enter a dormant state such as putting it under extreme stress with supreme heat, cold or some other method.

@-zyik- so, do you mean, like, make up weird monster thingies? because if so its dog-rat time

Wall of text is an understatement. We're approaching novel chapter levels of reading here.
How do you feel about world building? If you could make a fulfilling career out of it, would you?
You seem to have the capacty for detailed world building here.

Lets see it!
@ciroP "you are on online!!???"
Most days I try to hop onto the gallery even if I can't always reply. Getting through hundreds of notifications takes time ;p

thanks again for your kind comments! If I could do art and writing full time(along with the current work I do with colors already) then of course!
Part of the reason for this type of art challenge for me outside of engaging with community is to flex my more creative side.
I still have more ambitions ideas I want to do for the community here and this challenge is part of that. I mentioned to you in my other reply this is based off a short story I did for college. I'd love to push this further by doing stories the community can engage with. For example, if I continue the story/lore of #Underlabs in a bigger way in the future I'd love to feature the creatures people for this type of challenge into the story since one of my favorite things about the Colors!3D days of Colors were artist doing crossovers with their characters and stories.

Question: Is there something you'd have to do to earn WA, or does it just happen randomly?
