My favorite mountain, I recognized this as soon as I seen it, the road is the a5 and has Lynn ogwen to the left, uv even got the cannon rock sticking out of the north ridge, I've climbed this mountain many times year after year , I would like to have a go at painting tryfan myself one day, but the east face, whereas uv gone for the west, I really love this painting it's one of my favorites uv done( although I am bias towards welsh landscapes) :)***********
Gaz: Woah. What are the chances of me painting your favourite mountain. Haha. That's so cool! It's probably not that close a representation because I just went with the flow, once I stopped painting on location. Still, you even pin-pointed the exact spot, so I guess I must have done something right. Hope you do a painting of the East side. It's certainly more dramatic. I guess you are familiar with Ogwyn Cottage, the car park areas ect...? There's a few quickies buried under a painting of Pen yr Ole Wen, which I will add soon (darn upload limit). Also got a batch of laptop PS speedies I need to upload to my blog in the new year. Might want to check 'em out and play the recognition game. Hehe. So nice to hear you regularly visit that particular spot. It's become dear to my heart. *cue swoon* :)
Yeah this is my favorite place and playground, I used to camp at the farm by tryfan in the ogwen valley years ago when touring on the ZZR so I know it pretty well, I've done some er not so sensible speeds round that bend coming up lol :)

love the feeling of dragging the viewer inside the painting by this road. Great
