Their underbelly is sandy white during the juvenile stage of life, but as they reach maturity, the underbelly begins to flush bright orange to both attract partners and serve as a threat display.

This ended up being a bigger challenge than I anticipated because I had a difficult time coming up with a pose where the body that merges with the neck.
