The young man returned to the monk's room and proudly said, "I've found the meaning of life. It took me all night and all day to find it. I didn't sleep or eat at all to save time. The meaning of life is to accomplish one's own ambitions. What do you think of my answer?" The monk got up, slapped him, and said,"Your work was in vain! Leave this place and never return." The young man grew angry and slapped him back. The monk calmly turned to him and said, "You have won, welcome to my monastary."
