When he was little Chips wandered out of the celestial realm, into the mortal realm (when he was like 5-6) and met Soda. a human child who had wandered from home (10).
Soda took care of Chips as much as she could, until she could get a job. The two are near inseperable.
Neither know about Chiaps celestial origins. Even his Rior is still in the Celestial realm.
