pretty much a celestial prince.
he had fallen from the heavens for a mortal girl, as thats illegal in the celestial realm he was banished.

So naturally he outlived his lover, and remained confined to earth.
While other celestials can desend from the heavens to see him, he cant do the same to go to them.
its not like he cant live a fufilling life, its just that he cant return to his home realm
