I did this with my 25% stylus (I RARELY use my stylus and its dead now, so..) The shading took a little shorter than I thought, along with selecting the color palette.. Very indie game vibes, if you know what I mean.
Basically UnderTale, also Stardew Valley.

Soo don't rush with the shading
Do an outline of the shape before you fill it in
Dont make the brush size so big, most important
Pick colors you know will go good together, basically not too dark not too light
Add white highlights here and there if you're feeling cutesy

Dont make the colors too contrastable from eachother if you want to get the pastel shading effect that I got
