Yggdrasil by LeonardBirdstein
Well, this is quite different to my "normal" style, but I like it!
I'm a HUGE Norse mythology fan, and based this on the BEAUTIFUL illustrations in Kevin Crossley-Holland's Norse Myths book, which sparked my obsession as a kid.
I love a bit of Magnus Chase, but I feel like it doesn't present the side of the mythos that I love so much: the raw, chaotic power that runs through it all, which seems to be best portrayed in the former book.

The World Tree stretches 3 roots to each of the levels of the universe: Asgard, where the gods live, Midgard (home of the humans and dwarfs) and Jotunheim (realm of the giants), and Niflheim, the world of the dead.
Midgard is connected to Asgard by the Bifrost (Rainbow Bridge) and encircled by Jormungand, the World Serpent and one of Loki's children.

An enormous eagle roosts in Yggdrasil's branches, and stirs great winds that snap them. A dragon, Nidhog, gnaws at the roots, leeching the life out of them. Their rage is due to their insuting each other, the words of which are carried from branches to roots and back by Ratatosk, the squirrel messenger, who delightsin seeing Yggdrasil destroyed, even though its toppling would kıll him too.

It may depnd on the source, but most sources I'm familiar with spell a lot of those names with an r at the end (ie: Jormungundr) They also pronounce the "j" as a "y" (ie: [Y]ormungundr).
Some of my OC's were named after Norse mythological beings such as #Fimbulvetr and the fallen angel dragon Mahlo drew for me which I named #FenrirTheDragon (A little self-plug-in) ;3

@The_Adjudicator there's often variations in language across mythologies as they're the culmintion of lots of different sources... it's super interesting!
And that's cool! I thought they seemed inspired :D
