Yes, there are a few rouges that have developed in their own patterns and colors because of how they were raised.

Having read your full description, and looked through the tag, I can tell you're very passionate about these creatures.
As far as design goes, I think you've got something unique that, with a bit more refinement, could be a catch. I like the wings and color pallets, as well as the Draconian design, and, this is something I've been looking into for some time now, that the flow of the line-art also helps create a pleasing feel when you look at something.

For example, the curved linear flow from the head, down the neck, through the body, and along the tail is pleasantly smooth. There's a certain skill development that comes with being able to create and follow these lines and create something that the mind can recognize. That's something I've noticed is consistent with a lot of my favorite art here.

I created this species and got attached. The work has been fun honestly, but I really like flow as well. Gesture drawings are honestly amazing and they create so much emotion, I wanted Rovanok to work like a gesture drawing. The entire body is a large swooping line that has some bulk and anatomy to it.

What do you think I could do to refine it? I do want it to be easily simplifed and drawn for sketches and the fact that its an open species, but I'm open to criticism!

As far as refinement goes, that'll come down to what you think you can do better. However, if I were to take some creative liberties in designing them myself, I'd probably start with a bit of work on the leg proportions. The rear legs feel a bit long, and would likely be a bit uncomfortable with most standing poses. In adition to that, I'd refine the line-work to account for the muscular system, and how it's connected to the bone structure.

On that note, another thing that might be a bit difficult to refine would be the position of the wings in relation to where they'd be connected on the body. Limbs like legs, arms, and wings would be connected with a ball joint for more freedom of rotation. How do you suppose the skeleton of these creatures might look like with the wings positioned where they are? If you think that's something that could be improved, how might that be done?

Finally, In the real world, the reason why bugs, insects, and spiders can have multiple legs and wings is because their limbs are connected to an exoskeleton.

As a note:
Deep thought like this isn't really necessary whenever there is suspension of disbelief. However, as a biology enthusiast, I like to think about how these details come together when I'm creating some new creature. Again though, these are my own creative libeties. These are your OC's, and your own creation.

@The_Adjundicator It got adapted sightly now as I've started to make the anatomy, but it looks a bit better.

The wings have dedicated large pectorals for their size, and are attached differently to the legs, as they move independently from each other. The leg proportions are better, and the body makes a little more sense.

The wings are ball-jointed with a slightly flexible skeleton system like the human ribs and how they can expand for the lungs, but instead to be able to bend in odd ways for defense and fighting.
They are very large creatures with hollow endoskeletons like birds, but have scales that chain together slightly like an exoskeleton due to the molting of said scales.

The wings joint placements are between the front and back legs, but the first wing pectoral is the main 'chest'/front.
I've designed the muscle anatomy but need to finish the skeleton, but for now I do not have a digital version. I'll probably upload it and trace it to my best ability, but whenever I get it done I'll tag you in it.
