I'm genuinely terrified of people my age, I always feel like I'm two paces behind when it comes to anything and I get so anxious when trying to small talk with people, I can tell I'm terrible at it lol
I'm an ace at talking to adults though, I explain to them why their son keeps shouting brainrot and they tell me how to not make pasta stick to the pan
At least my class seems to like me to some extent so far, nothing crazy though, it's probably gonna turn for the worse

@Meowy_a_Meowdracorn
I wish more kids weren't infected with brainrot and bothered to interact with others, but yeah you're right, there are good bunches of kids around that I can talk to about Bluey and other peak media :pensive:
Ppl my age are iffy, like the ticket to popularity is having a good fantasy football team :broken_heart:
And ty for the compliment

@Meowy_a_Meowdracorn
That sucks, mean kids always have worry about status and hierarchy, hence being mean for power instead of getting a ********* (I have seen this happen way to much :broken_heart:)
It's not even worrying about embarassing yourself, like at least for me I worry my presence is negative to someone :pensive:

People around my age act like 5 year olds-
Like dude even the HiCap people I work with are either profoundly rude or act immature.
Istg I love social interaction with older people because I can talk about topics apparently people can't cope with, like WWII and criminal psychology.
Like bruv I don't wanna talk about brainrot or whatever.
I will either go with MLP: FiM or dark slightly messed up topics that weird people out.
Also Bluey is peak.

@fall3n_beings
Yeesh that sounds rough, I don't think I could handle rude people as classmates, let alone coworkers.
I personally love criminal psychology lol, though even with older people I don't really find anyone interested or find it a appaling topic

Real :sob:
I genuinely fear having to make new friends this year because it's so difficult to work out who's a decent person
I'll probably have a favourite teacher before I manage to make any friends :(((((

thats so real, almost everyone in my school is affected by it and wont stop saying freaking 6 7
also i just said sybau to some guy and he snitched to the teacher abt it "do you know what she just said to me"
"i think you should know for if other people say it" PMO

@LeonardBirdstein
The good ol' scanning around a room filled with teenagers to see which ones probably won't:
mock you or others for their interests,
be infected with brainrot,
or kick a random small fox to brag about it (from personal experience :pensive:)
My class seems to be somewhat okay tho, a lot of Fortnite talk but most of them are chill :broken_heart:
I hope you do find nice people genuinely interested in being friends with you ^^

@kasumi_
6 7 is honestly some of the weirdest brainrot I've encountered like wdym it came from a song and now everyone says it in the most unnecessary moments
:broken_heart:
You're teacher is such a diva for that :sob:

More adults need to be convinced to be part of the solution, rather than be part of the problem.
What I mean by that is the "brainRot" plague that has infected so much of the youth stems from poor local interaction, and excessive online interaction. The sheer volume of kids being raised by the internet, rather than being raised by their parents as it ought to be, is resulting in a rut of social communication skills.

In summery, Parents need to be parents again. Kids don't know how to teach other kids how to become adults in their time. And when grown-up children (who don't know how to be adults themselves) let the internet raise their children...
